I agree about this thread being unhelpfull and damaging to BAS reputation. Sorry Dodson, but if you had a problem on the way home from Petes workshop, why didn't you turn around and take it back?
Failing that, why not ring him at the earliest chance and report it? You may not have been able to get to Pete for a week or 2 for whatever reason, but i'm sure he would have accepted the fact that you had a problem and he would endevour to fit you in at your conveneince. I had an incident where my last car suffered a damaged wheel while it was in the dealers. I reported it ASAP and they put it on file as i flew to Iraq 3 days later and was unable to sort it for 3 months. when i got back i contacted them and it was sorted. If i'd left it 2 weeks they would have told me to get lost as it could have happened during that period.
You don't need internet access to make a phone call and mention the problem.
