took it back to argos today, refused to replace it themselves, said Microsoft have to deal with it

so phoned em up and some paki answered (thought thank **** its an 0800) after half hour of spelling out my whole address he said they'll send prepaid postage stuff to me in the post then a UPS bloke will pick it up and drop it off at their repair centre for it to have a new or refurbed dvd drive could take upto 14 working days

was playing GoW this morning no problems, Act 5 on the train insane mode

then starts making a grinding sound and ejects the disc, goes to dashboard and says clean the disc. did so and stuck it back in but it made funny noises and more grinding sounds. and just wouldnt read the disc, kept going to the dashboard

tried a few games all the same. odd tho i stuck a music cd in and all was fine???

i think this has been a general problem with um as ive heard of it before, tell argos to do it on your behalf, your there customer, not microsofts directly, how long you had it?

well im happy wid mine at the moment, my car wouldnt pass the MOT yesterday coz of my HID's lol had to take them off in the garage put standard bulbs in and have it MOT'd and used there tools to put them back in! lol abolsute nightmare,

I'm with PhilW and davidol on this.
Get a full explanation and perhaps start a new thread.
Might be interesting for others with HIDs.

not 3 months dude, thing is i kicked up a fuss bout the fact i'd prob used a tenners worth of fuel just to drive to newport an back an my old dear was with me causing all sorts of trouble but they wouldnt back down. had the manager in my face for a good 10mins and they just kept repeating on an on

its already booked in for repairs now with MS so nothing else i can do, should be picked up monday or tuesday though. who knows may get it back by end of the week

dont hold your breath, my brothers girlfriends brothers had the same fault and went back to ms, took 3 weeks and lots of phone calls

Day of logging tomorrow I feel. Logs looked ok last week but it's had chance to adapt with the N75F.
