Hi chaps, and good evening. Just a quick one. Before my car was smashed into last week i noticed that when i locked myself in the car the alarm would not go off, i tried every motion going from changing gear to moving steering wheel, shaking my A** etc, are the motion sensors switched off. can anyone help me. Cheers . Only reason being that on our street between my G/F an i we have spent £2750 last year repairing our cars from smashed wing mirrors to broken windows. Same on my previous car BMW Coupe, when had wing mirror smashed off the alarm didnt go off. Any sugestions. Cheers

By your drivers seat (the right hand side) there should be a button (which turns sensor off etc). Next time (i think with keys in the ignition) push it, then lock yourself inside and go nuts...

I've heard that they are sometimes deactivated from factory and have to be activated by the dealer or VAG com.
Maybe worth getting vagcom plugged in and checking it's activated.

sounds like your internal sensors are turned off
i left a mate in mine not long ago and locked it, it went off straight away and all he did was reach up to scratch his fat head
