ABS/Traction Control Light

blackie

I'm Tyrannosaurus Alan!!!
I have only had my cupra a couple of days but it did something today i found a little concerning.

When turning around at slow speed, then touching the brakes it felt as if the ABS was coming on as i could feel the pulsating through the pedal.

I was doing literally 2 - 3 mph on ful lock when it has done it.

After this it pinged up the abs and TC lights on the dash.

I drove over to vagtech, stopping half way and turned the ignition off. turned it back on and lights stayed off.

Went down to Vagtech (cheers guys) who had a look via VAGCOM and there were no fault / error codes...

Any ideas as it just did it about ten mins ago when i got home.

check your abs sensor(s) on either side havnt popped out of their clips, if they are dangling around they stand a chance or getting snagged. this could be the problem?

That is what happen to mine.
Change suspension to coilovers and when doing so one of the clips that hold the abs sensor wire up had feel off, leaving the wire dangling and in the end rubbed on the driver shaft, splitting the wire causing me to feeling loads of vibration though my brake pedal.

Once sorted was loads better.
