Hey..

Righto, so firstly...

Is there a different REVO Stage II code depending on whether you have K03s or K03?

Secondly...

How much could I sell my REVO Stg II (with SPS2) ECU for (and get a standard ECU back)? To allow for a custom map...

Thirdly...

Having tried REVO, I am thinking Jabba with a boost controller....any deals coming up!! :cartman:

Other suggestions for Custom Mapping?

Just getting thoughts together....

Thanks,

Mike

Hhmm....I am in two minds.. those with Jabba and same mods seem to gain an extra 20hp at least due to being 'custom'...

Will bear in mind mate, food for thought and all that....

Replies to Q's anyone?

i'd say jabba is your best bet as far as a custom map goes, i know there's custom code to consider aswell but jabba would be my personal choice.

As for your ecu......stage 1 revo'd are going for about £250, obviously stage 2 cost you £50 more so maybe £275?? Your sps2 could be included in the sale for more but i would try and sell it seperately.

As far as the difference in revo code goes, i wouldnt have thought there would be........if Revo are offering different maps across the same stage software, surely this would be bearing on custom anyway?

Same day, same conditions, jabbas wer reaching high 250's... on VAGCOM I recorded 174g/s (230bhp)...

So was just wondering, Timing 9 (with no pull) HB 6 (as set up by M0rk)...so has been tweaked with SPS3...

No probs mate...

K03s with TIP
Revo 2 (obviously)
Induction
Full milltek
007P
FMIC

Like to re-iterate, NO timing pull on any cylinder... wastegate around 99% IIRC...flowing 174g/s...

Mike

Good stuff, although if your WG duty is already pegged then i'm unsure how a 'custom' map plans to get more power. WG at 95-99% means you've either got a boost leak or the turbo is working as hard as it can.

FYI my car was running around 77% WG duty on HB9.

yours a no more nails chipped ecu from RSD tho.... or was yours flashed?

I think it's been flashed Bill, as i cant see any physical differences in the ECU. Dont suppose if you have any pics of a NMN RSD Chip, you could PM or Email me please?

No more nails chip?

old sk00l tuning...

More like Junior School Tuning.

For todays task we'll require,
1 Ecu
One remap chip, and some sticky back plastic or PVA glue.

Wasting your money going custom imo, the gains you'll get are minimal if any.

I'd spend 30 quid on petrol and log it and set it up nicely with an SPS3 with someone who knows what theyre doing.

BTW, If your seeing 95%+ all the way through on WG, you've probably got a boost leak.

Mike I think we're hitting a similar chord, Ive been debating for a while whether its enough power for what mods ive got, we chatted a couple of times and we have pretty much the same mods so i know how you feel.

End of the day they are just numbers, hooch had revo2 and him and wayne were similar but pulled away at different points because they are different maps, but if your like me you feel if you've spent the money you want the printout.
I just dont think it would 'feel' much different.

Im gonna start saving for k04 or for a few years for ihi lol.......but in all seriousness if your a bit of a boost junky, what good will the extra 10-20bhp ON PAPER do for you, if i dont drive my car for a few days it still feels fast as f**k, but then i know there are the capabilities of it being quicker so will i be satisfied?
IMO it just seems a very expensive way to be only slightly quicker when if you save that and keep saving a bit longer you would get so much more if you wanted it.

thats a fair comment

mike_ibizacupra...i wouldnt say it was your revo mate because you know i pulled good power (and so have plenty of others) with it so it would look elsewhere for probs!! if you want to compare, meet up with wayne and have a little drag, youll soon see if yours is much different
