Done any more?

I missed your post last week - been wondering all week how you got on.

Inlet fouling gearbox is a bit... shite.

Is that other guy (with the 550's) on a five speed box then? myk3?

Inlet fouled the gearbox housing, yet didn't foul the manifold bolt... rotating the housing solves one issue and the smaller button end allen bolt and a grinder solve the other (as most others have done!)
Apparantley it's normal to have to rotate them, although I've never read of anyone else having that problem.

After some time out for various reasons it was finally fitted (about 8 times) with various things needing to be trimmed & fixed. ******* tight job, and everything 'nearly' fits, now it's got about 2mm clearance........

Needs the coolant & oil lines fully connecting & then it'll be time for a test idle I think

yeah, removed the rubber pipe, and just nursed the metal one out the way for now, until I can work out where to route the TIP

Mark, have read through the whole post but not quite sure about whether it's the 3 inch big bore inlet you've fitted with the GTRS to a 6 speed or not....?

Well done though mate - no such thing as a bolt on turbo conversion.... ;)

It's the 2.5" step-down version - 3" would no way fit on my car given the v.tight fit of the 2.5

yeah, sure is....

the 2.5" isn't much of a step down to the inlet anyway, so it's barely a restriction as it is.

will have to get creative to miss all the gubbins on the box (god I wish it was rod change)
