I'd go for something tried and test as mitchy says.

I've had my miltek for about 3 years now and never once had a problem with it. Well worth the money.

Tried and Tested:), BF has been around for years and makes OEM exhausts for top line cars. I've had a couple of Bike cans off them and they aren't bad. Granted they have had issues in the past but at least they seem to address them and make redesigns etc..not churn out the same old rubbish for people to keep buying.

Thanks for the feedback guys:clap:

Mitchy - I think your right when it comes to the Supersprint, I love the tailpipe, and I think they are built very well, it is a shame they don’t do a full turbo back system.:(

From what you are saying you would not recommend a BF downpipe and Cat running into a Supersprint Cat back?

J@mes - I have looked at all the past post I can find and I can see the 2 different designs and the latest setup seems to be more reliable.

I have also found your post on Blueflame, http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66324
The only problem is I can’t see the pics, and I was wondering if you could fix the links of e-mail me copies, that would be very useful and I would really appreciate it, they say a picture says 1000 words and all that.

old design DP...

new design DP...

OR you can weld up the original design DP welds properly (as far as i know only 4 original design DPs failed (2 were mine! [:@] due to crap welds! ) and add a brace like this...

dp2.jpg

and lastly whilst we are on exhausts... the spark plug non fouler mod for the rear lambda probe, which can sometimes be needed if u have a stage 2 map that doesnt adjust this probe like Revo and others do (of course i needed it! )

Nice one J@mes :worship:

Blueflame should thank you for all you kind and positive words.

Looking at the pictures and keeping in mind the bargain price I think I will be purchasing one very soon.

Nice tip about the lambda probe spacer, I have read about it on Vortex but was unsure if the LCR needed one, so that is a big help as I can order one ready.

Thanks again J@mes you have been a real help

oh yea... what map you going for?!

as if you get a revo/apr/CC stage 2 map then you wont need the lambda mod! ;)

The more I look at the pictures the better the quality appears, and it is reassuring to know that they have sorted out the early issues and not just abandoned the customer.

I only have a stage one Jabba map at the moment.

But I will be looking at another map once I have fitted some more upgrades. ;)

the quality is good, but i do think due to the fact that they often do group buys thus knocking out their batch systems very quickly, and as a result i think the quality of their welds can drop, with the odd weld here and there not being up to scratch... this is my opinion from my experiences with the DPs!

i would hazard a guess that miltec and supersprint don't have this approach and thus correctly more time is given to the quality control etc...

so i take it you will be seeing mike again for a tweak of your map?!

if you are staying with jabba you may aswell do the lambda mod for piece of mind, its only £10 or then again leave it and if you do get an efficiency below threshold CEL then order the spacer!

actually tbh... id say fcuk it and leave it, chances are you wont need it so you may aswell leave it, and its not like you will damage your car if you drive around for a week or so whilst your waiting for it to arrive if you need it! :)

Yes I’ll be visiting Jabba again for a bit of a tweak. :D

I think I will wait and see if I need the spacer, as you say it won't do any harm, especially as I don't need to do many miles in a week.

You are probably right about the group buy thing, I imagine it could get very tedious running off 5-10 of the same item in a short space of time, it would make my mind wander for sure.

they keep them in stock too, so its prob more like running off at least 30 at a time, especially with all the GBs going on on all the web sites and don't forget they sell on ebay too!

but this is no excuse!

They still churned them out in the first place  That says a lot about the seller.

Fair play they have re-designed etc. but they should of tested them before selling them.

My mate has a bf on his LCR and we both agree that the build quality is less than perfect.

Edited: if there tried and test then they wouldn't be breaking ;)
