me thinks about time i ordered mine and departed myself with the money - i would have thought would have made a little improvement -
mine made loads more noise, sounds fantastic n spool up at aorund 3k its great, it also made my dv alot lot louder.
when i fitted my forge Tip there was no difference
what?????! mines so loud its rediculouse, i love it! not noticed too much performance difference, mostly on spool up, iv found it spools up a bit quicker, i just cant get over the noise! haha
I'd say it was more responsive and smoother with the tip fitted. Wont be a lot louder but could deffinately hear the difference on mine in conjunction with the ram-air filter and forge 007. Now running a k03s so is much loader still!
Just used a jubilee type clip on mine. Sounds fine james. cant really go wrong in fitting it anyway.

mine was no loader and if anything the DV was less, were have you all put the DV? mine is tucked down the back, but might be able to go closer the CAI?
just a quick thought, did anyone put the bolt back in the hole for the stock turbo intake pipe??........ maybe a reason why its noisy? dunno

although i would like to cut the alu pipe abit shorter to tuck the filter up higher as its rather close to the ground
because of my intake, mine is probably alot louder than most peoples
the bolt wont make any difference to sound, its not a leak or anything like that so dont worry
the sound is a combination of the TIP, dv and the type of induction you have
