Reasons for choosing ibiza?

just woundering really, what reasons you guys chose the ibiza cupra or fr over the other hot hatches on the market,

I know it may not be the best but my reasons are

- after having naturally aspirated and turbos engines i just lover the power delivery of turbo and the sound
- its so unique and rare Ive yet to see another cupra on the road, and although it may be because most others choose the other hot hatches I quite like it because I feel individual.

I was familiar with SEAT as my Dad's owned them for about 7 years now and always liked the styling etc.

I was also looking at the Fiesta ST, but felt the Ibiza had much more to offer both in terms of equipment and style.

The option of being able to buy diesel also appealed to me, especially as then the diesels and petrols were the same price to purchase but the diesel offered better fuel economy, cheaper insurance and cheaper tax.

Must admit though that although I love driving the Ibiza, it is proving a very tiring car to own, having been in and out of the stealers for niggly problems (and some bigger ones) pretty much constantly from the day I picked it up. In contrast my '54 Fiesta Zetec which I've also owned from new has missed a beat yet.

This is going to sound like a typical girly answer but I chose my car because it is yellow.

I had a yellow MGZR160 before this car and i loveed the colour. When i came to change the car I couldnt find any car that was fast and yellow (except a lambo)

fair enough, I do about 250 miles a week. to be honest the cupra is no more expensive than all the other cars I have owned all though I haven't come up to servicing etc yet

I was aware of seats being part of the vag group and I can't stand high revving petrol engines like the ctr or celica 190

so I went for the petrol fr as I like the power delivery and the ovni yellow looks the dogs danglies

:D

well for me it wasnt that hard of a choice as Im only 18, its canny difficult for me 2 get inssurance, so 1.2 it was and the ibiza is one of the best out there, didnt want a chavy saxo, golfs n polos were out my range, corsa well its vauxhual, and I had choice of a clio or this, well went out in me mates and no competition really. Do fancy an FR next year sometime

I spent ages trying to decide. I had a 1999 16v 1.4 Polo which was fantastic and made a lovely noise - tried the newer ones and they just didn't feel right. Tried a Corolla, Astra, Focus and the 206 but soon realised I needed a diesel to get the B road fun I wanted on my budget.

Test drove my Ibiza TDI 130 and decided it was the car for me - very sexy in flash red too

I had a Leon Cupra before and, while I loved the turbo power, I wasn't so keen on the 28-30 mpg fuel consumption. It was also a bit bigger than I needed as most of the time there is only one or two people in the car.

I looked round at the possible small hatchbacks and, after testing an Ibiza with the 130 bhp engine, I decided that this felt very much like the Leon to drive. There was enough space inside and it had a nice solid feeling to it.

I went to look at the Fabia VRS but didn't like the looks at all and I didn't really want a five door car anyway. The SEAT dealer gave me a good part exchange price for the Leon and I ended up with an Ibiza FR TDI.

I am still very impressed with the Ibiza and enjoy driving a car which is quite a rare sight on the roads. Overall a very good decision.

Even though im not a girl that is the exact same thing for me, i moved from a yellow zr160 to my tellow cupra plus the fact i work for a dealer also helped. :cartman:
