Im not that shallow,lol.
I stopped and he was fine. He hit a corner too fast went across the road and smashed his wheels into and up onto the kerb, setting off the side airbag!!

About 11.30 last night.

Ya that would be me :p

Winter tyres my arse! Id actually slowed up at that point, but not enough by the looks of it!

Your car looked very nice matey :p

Mine doesnt look to bad actually... believe it or not! Just been on the phone to the garage, just needs a new CV joint and erm wishbone...

As for the airbag... just my luck, they always go off on me! Cheers for stopping, nearly said "nice car" but thought best not, ive just crashed!

Looking on the brightside, im glad I did slow down (to near on limits) as if I didnt, I would be in the river!

Had a look on the road, and seems like there is a black strip across thats very slippy, nevermind it generally being slippy (I found this out after!)

Hopefully repairs arent going to cost to much, but live and learn... needless to say im sick of repair bills (mostly due to ppl hitting into me!)

Nice car anyway, now to slow either (even round the bends :p) check out http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=111080 <--- meet with lots of unsmashed cars!

Kidding aside, it could have been alot worst, and im just glad I slowed down, just sadly not enough!

Stay safe people!

I wish I was, would have probs got me round the slight bend in the road!

Damage isnt to bad, as I wasnt going fast per say, just the angle in which ive hit the kerb has done the damage, I say hit, more like clipped it really, no junks out of the kerb or anything... should have tried to bump up it then turn, but as the otherside of the walkway has a drop then a river... I didnt think that was a good idea at the time.

Kenshin - Ya damn right, if not more! If I had damaged myself, its free to heal (to a degree!) this is going to cost a few pennies!

near to the limits of grip in a car park?

lol no mate it was the dual carriageway roads around Meadowhall. Caught me out as it looked perfectly dry yet the roads were more slippery than in torrential rain, i managed wheelspin in 4th with a nippy gearchange - quite scarey!

Hope its not too costly to fix matey, should be fine, wasnt too bad! I told you only a CV and Wishbone!

After me getting in at 2:40 last night im requiring double strength coffee on tap and feeling slightly euphoric

Thats why I gave up when we were coming round the long left hander with you at the side of me, cos I could feel the car was close to the limit, and I didnt fancy losing it straight into you, plus the gf was telling me to stop.
And as soon as I saw your car going straight to the kerb, I thought oh ****, the river, but glad the kerb stopped you.
Anyway, glad your alright, and glad the car isnt too bad. And thanks for the compliments on the car!
Hope its all sorted soon Matey.

BTW, what bulbs you got in, I like them. Couldnt tell it was an Ibiza until u were right up the side of me!

Id also gave up to, tho my winter tyres on the corner held very well, and I didnt feel any give. I knew that corner was bad, slowed right up (why u caught up really :p)

Indeed, rather kerb than river imho!

As for the lights, they are ace arent they! They are H.I.D's me and EdButler got a set, really do look nice on the road and only ever had 2 flashes, one of which was a uneven road service, so go figure. They are very bright tho. Check out the group buy section for them, deffo worth every penny imho

Just like hammond, id rather never talk about the "crash" again :p

Isnt too bad really, just bruised.

You were gaining mate. Ill not deny that your car was faster. I assumed it must be a Cupra when it was coming up. Mine is totally standard at the min, with 20,000 on the clock.
And how greasy were the roads around there. It was totally dry, but it was like an ice rink, and I wasnt expecting that lorry parked in my lane when I came off the first roundabout.!!!

Nah, I was only doing 30 or so when it happened. He was 1 or 200 yards in front of me, but I just saw it happen.
He had a quick blast before though, upto the legal limit of course!
