I was at Jabba yesterday having my new Koni FSD's fitted along with a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs and an A3 strut brace.
I just like to say what a transformation! The car is so much more smoother (softer) around town, with none of that harshness i experienced before but when you get to the twisty bits it is like its on rails, with hardly any body roll and a firm but pleasing ride.
The springs lowered the front 15mm and the rear 10mm. I felt the car was too under sprung for such a hot hatch but these have sorted this right out.
I didnt want to go too extreme with the ride height as im trying to keep the car looking as standard as possible, also with issues over the front splitter being quite low already.
I'd just like to a big thankyou to Nick at Jabba who recommended this set up for myself. He was spot on!
I thought i would share this with you guys as im over the moon with the transformation and if you are looking to put new shocks and springs on your LCR, or any other Seat for that matter, take a look at these before making any decisions.

I was thinking of going for some Koni FSDs. What anti-roll bars have you got on your car? Also, any idea how well the FSDs would work with standard springs?

i have fsd's with standard springs on my octavia VRS,they are superb.the car sits lower than other octavia's out of the box and i have a sloping drive,so staying with stock ride height was paramount.
iirc they are designed with standard springs in mind, but will take a small amount of lowering.
everyone i have spoken to about FSD's has had nothing but praise for them.

Standard anti roll bars at the moment, at some point i will be fitting a rear anti roll bar but wanted to see what difference the shocks and springs made. I found my standard springs to soft, but the eibachs have certainly made a big difference, and it is'nt sitting that much lower which is what i wanted from the out set. Highly recomend the FSD's though! :D
Let me know how you get on!

i have the same setup but also have neuspeed front and rear anti roll bars!

I am really happy with the level of grip and control it has given me!

Didnt know they did an uprated front anti roll bar? Wasnt told about that. Im looking to get a rear anti roll bar soon though. How do you rate this setup with the uprated anti roll bars? Do they make a big difference? Be nice to know so i can justify going further with the suspension set up. :funk:

Hi Aidy.t I stayed with the standard springs because I didn't want my a car any lower, I scrape my splitter enough as it is. I also have Neuspeed arb's fitted 25mm on the rear and 22mm on the front which work with my Koni Fsd's just fine.

Is the front ARB an uprated one to replace the existing one? It might seem a bit of a thick question  but i wasnt told about uprated front ARB,s just rears. It also seems you guys have gone for pretty much the same size ARB,s, they obviously work well!

I believe the standard arb on the LCR is 19mm
I can honestly say my car does handle a lot better and gives me a lot more confidence through the twisty's, especially in the wet.

Hi aidy.t, I am thinking of the same set up as you at the moment having heard lots of good things about the Koni FSD's with Eibach springs. It is good to hear from someone who actually has them, how is the car on speedbumps and steep slopes for example in multistorey carparks? Do you find that the front splitter scrapes more or less then with standard set up?

I know the above question sounds a bit strange, but I have heard that cars that are only slightly lowered on a decent uprated suspension setup can actually cause less scraping of the front splitter than standard due to stiffer springs and shocks.

Any feedback on this appreciated,

Cheers

Rich

Hi Rich, the car on speed bumps is fine, i tend to go quite slow over them anyway but i havent yet had any issues with them. I havent yet gone to a multi storey so i cant comment on that but i do know my original set up used to scrape so im hoping the stiffer springs will eliminate this as ive only just replaced the front splitter!. Go for the FSD,s with the Eibachs, you will be well pleased with this set up, as it completely transforms the car. I will be purchasing quite soon the Neuspeed ARB's as that seems the next step. Keep us informed with what you do.

aidy.t,

I'm very interested in the eibach spring/koni FSD setup which you have. However I cannot lower my vehicle much more due to a multi-storey car park which I use at work.

Any chance you could do me a big favour and measure how much clearance your front splitter has off the ground?
