think Im going to dismantle the dash and connect it at the switch.

Do you mean the door switch?

On my car the switch is combined with the catch/lock so I'd have to remove the door panel to gain access! :(

Perhaps that's caused some of the confusion on this thread?

Took the "A-pillar" trim off on the passenger side but wires do not feed up behind there so supply has to be from below the dash.

No it doesn't. You can also splice behind the interior light.. Pipe the wire through the head lining and then down the A pillar you took off... Thats the easiest way to achieve an electrically identical set up to that that was used as standard.

Glad you got it going and the part numbers were useful! :)

erm you need the amount joon quoted but if you want to run the wire to the interior through headlining then you need to extend cable.

You need 2 of each wire so just order one more of each. :)

Take one of each wire and cut in half.
Join one half of each type to make one wire with a different fitting at each end.
I've done a how to guide with a parts list here.

If you're connecting to the interior light you'll also need about 1.5 metres of single core wire so that you can route up behind the headlining.

If you need any help PM me or post in the guide thread.

Regards Guy.
