I have the RAM AIR on my LCR, and i am sooo happy with it, the light whistle you get on steady driving just sounds so nice, i find myself turning the radio off just to listen to the engine and induction note. When you plant your foot, the sound change is amaizing it goes from a whistle, to a high pitched sucking noise, that really lets you know you are driving something a little bit more pokey than your standard 1.4 zetec with a k+n filter on. None of this stupid deep "bwarp bwarp" when you dig the throttle, just a nice whine. The sound from the D/V is also more audiable too, not over the top but enough that you know it is there. All fed in by a 4" cold air feed from the standard intake in the front grill (did that chap ever make and sell the larger racing intakes). And for the price too, compaired to the BMC CDA i know exactly where my money would go every time! As for gains, well i had my 210 dyno'd at Marlin, and pulled 220BHP so i was happy with that, would have loved to have a run with the standard air box on and see if there was any gains to it. When i fitted the kit to start with i personally feel there was a noticable difference to throttle response from the car, and more urgency under acceleration, it just felt smoother, as for noticing power gains from it, well thats hard to say as it would be a small figure and not really noticalble, and the R has fast and slow days too. A definate good buy for 120 quid. A medium priced induction kit with top class results in my book. Buy one you wont be dissapointed...all supplied to me from Bill @ Badger5, top service from him i must say.
