Alright people.

I have noticed that now and again my secondary air pump isnt kicking up on a cold start. This seems to be happening all the more since i reset the adaptation by disconnecting the battery. This morning it was pretty cold and the hoover sound wasnt there at all. Car sounds fine other than this being missing. I've had a search and read of various threads, the one below describes pretty much whats happening however theres no resolution to what the fault turned out to be. Can anyone shed a bit of light on the subject??

Anyone know if theres a fuse or anything for this (matt hopes so!) If I do need a new one how easy are they to fit? Is this driven of the aux belt?

hi there, is the car in warranty?, if it is get it down the dealers. If its not then keep an eye on it. To be honest mine didnt come on invariably but never gave me any problems. The other thing is the sec air pump only usually comes on when the car is warming up but by the time you get it down the MOT station it will be at Operating temp and the testers will be none the wiser. Don't worry about it too much :D
