Just got my TFSi back from its service only took 8 days due to the oil filter assembly being on back order at the factory.

Anyhow the service, labour, parts and vat all came to £235.

(not including replacing oil filter assembly as that was a warranty job).

So basically you paid £235 for a service?
How can they get away with that?

Yeah, tell me about it.

basic breakdown was as follows

Service £111
Labour £120
Oil 5l - £45
loan car £10 for insurance CDW, (2 loan cars during the period too - first, a leon stylance - the alarm would not stop going off. The second an altea, a suprisingly good car.)

I did think I got a nice free 1 litre oil top-up left on the front seat but that was on the invoice too at £9

didn't even wash it or vac the interior ! it's not like it was a rush job they did have the car for 8 days.

Me thinks I will be going to Camberley next.

p.s. the above was Newbury Seat, if anyone is interested.

Yes you are right - it was a long day yesterday.
Labour and service at £111
and Parts totalled £80
VAT made up the rest.

doesn't seem quite so bad now that I am awake.

Emmer Green Garage in Reading (owned by the same people) also charge more than £200 for the 10k service :banghead2

Mill Road VW/Audi garage (who will do SEAT's, as I've asked them) charge £100 plus VAT and you can even bring your own oil!!

I asked them how much a 10k service on a 2.0TDI would be, and they quoted the £100 plus VAT figure, I imagine that parts would be extra. But they did say they would use genuine SEAT parts.

so not much difference really, my service charge was £111 less the vat I suppose.
It is the parts which boosts the price to over £200.

I suppose I am quite happy, I have paid over £800 for a big service on my old volvo.

and not counting stuff twice!

I read it initially that the oil was separate to the materials!

I pay £15 per month for a SEAT service plan (should of cost more but the guy who sold me the TFSI quoted price for wrong model and SEAT arn't charging me more due to it not being my fault, thank you SEAT), this covers 3 years servicing, a 3rd year breakdown service and the cost of the first MOT, great value...

That's excellent value, did you just ask the dealer for it as I have asked and the dealers (Leicester & Peterborough) didn't know anything about such a plan!

Coming from a BMW with a similar package I would like to get such a thing when I get a Leon.

Any info would be much obliged

Hi Edward, all I can tell you is the dealer is in Herts and I bought the car in June, they offered the deal backed by SEAT at the time of purchase.

The car can be serviced by any main dealer as SEAT give authorisation to carry out the work....good luck..
