BTW if I remember correctly 2 presses on locking the car doesn't disable the alarm, it deactivates the deadlocks.... or am I wrong....?

No it disables, sit in car and try what i said, as for insurance well u just dont tell them do you!
It disables the dead locks.
One press arms the alarm and deadlocks.
Two presses disables the deadlocks but keeps the alarm active.
Read the manual
ok, well i dont think anyone kinda got what i was trying to put forward.
Its not that the fact that someone has put information that is a danger, but someone could if everyone keeps saying there piece.
Like all the rest of you, I'm happy to help any other SCN member with anything i can, but when it comes into the realm of alarms, locking systems, " how to disable an alarm", all it would take is someone to give something away, or tell a way of shutting it off even temporary.. isnt that a point where it can become dangerous....
Perfect example, my friend parked his car (not to name for reason i have suggested) at a car park every day for work and one day he thought that he would get it valeted by the guys there.. so he did, he came back the car was clean and so he was happy, the next week, he parked his car as normal in the car park, came out after work and found his car had been runsacked completey, stereo and amps stripped and all his belongings stolen...and no one heard or saw the alarm go off, once we had a look at it, we found that one of the main fuses for the boot release had been tampered with, and well it being in the car, a little hard to do from outside the car, we came to the idea its because during the time at the valeters they "knew" which fuse to taper with and then waited for the right moment (they knew his car was there during work hours) to use that advantage they knew was able to take advantage of.
Now by no means am I saying that anyone has said information of such, but the fact that if it continues it may be slipped....
Sorry if anyone thinks that i was accusing or telling off people, but all I'm saying there be caution in the information given....

OK I am confused. When i picked my car up from Seat last night, the guy said 2 clicks on the locking button on the remote key Locks the car and enables the deadlocks also. 1 click only locks and sets the alarm.
After reading the manual last night, it states 2 clicks disables the deadlock.
Which am i to believe??

The manual. There has been post after post about this and many people suddenly realised they had been getting it wrong all this time and unlocking their deadlocks! Probably because for many other cars out there, two clicks does indeed set the dead locks.
But in the Leon it's just one click to lock and set everything.

It's funny, as the last post like this went in a similar way. It started off with lots of 'I'm right, you're wrong!' and ended up with... 'Crap, I've been disabling my deadlocks for the past year'. Amusing, if a little scary
