Try making it accurate with a gps road angel matey. will probably be around 130 mph.

Yeah probably... speedo read 136, but it was flat out... nothing left at all... and I had a tailwind :)

Max speed is supposedly 129, but then 0-62 is supposedly 9.4 and I can consistently beat that by about a second... so I'm guessing the spec figures are a sort of "minimum" standard.

Never thought about using my GPS to get a speed reading... will try that next time I have the opportunity to tonk it without fear of being banned :)

Germany. 80% of autobahn's (motorways) have no speed restrictions whatsoever. It's where pretty much the whole of europe go to drive fast without fear of prosecution. Unfortunately, it's very rare that I get to drive over there, but good fun when I do :)

Was just driving along a stretch of road that has one of those "warning" speed signs that tell you how fast you are doing just before a bend. My speedo said about 51mph but the sign was saying 47mph, so if it was that inaccurate at the low end of the scale, my 136mph was probably nothing of the sort :-/

BTW, the trip computer is only able to count up to 1000 miles, after this point it resets back to zero - that's for no.2 setting.

The no.1 setting will also reset after 1000 miles or if the engine's stopped for more than 2 hours.

The reset is also triggered by a number of other limits such as driving for more than 99 hours and 59 minutes if I remember correctly.

I'm very gentle. Some days i've babied it at around 70 and did get 53mpg :)

Today, I watched the instant consumption meter while I followed a big lorry at 56mph - It was over 70mpg most of the 8-9 miles.
