I do not recommend 6000k although rated at 8000k these are of the highest brightness of the high quality goldeneye range you will not be disappointed the light is crisp white with slight hint of blue very beautiful. thanks.

as you can't tell from the pics, 1 question i'd ask them, is whether you have to fit an additional relay and connect it to the battery. Some of the cheaper kits require this.

Also the 8000k are actually less bright than the 6000k. Most well known companies, such as HIDs4U etc, state that 8000k is too blue, and they recommend the 6000k. Bare in mind that i was after a kit which was really nice and blue, and even i've gone with the 6000k. My friend fitted a 6000k into his vw corrado and that is really blue, lovely colour.

One other point about that ebay kit, the link they have i.e "For bulb compatibility and to see the cost of these kits at the moment visit the website www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk" is taking you to a website which doesn't appear to be selling that particular product. The ebay one is "Goldeneye" and autobulbsdirect are selling the "Interpower" kit, which is of much better quality etc.

Although saying all that, it does seem to be one of the better kits i've seen advertised on ebay.

Oh and 1 more thing, remember our cars are newer than 2002 and enter the "problem" category with hids, so it might be worth trying to find a kit which states should be ok with these cars. I have gone for turborevs T5 kit for this very reason.

Turborevs has been a top bloke so far. He's replied to emails really fast, and each of them have been really helpful and informative, whereas some companies replied with 1 short sentence as an answer!

He even discounted the more expensive T5 kit for me. Which was very much appreciated! Thanks again turborevs! I look forward to the kit arriving.

The only downside is i have to wait about a week as the item is out of stock as its becoming rather popular, and he expects delivery at the end of next week. As soon as the item is fitted, i'll post back here with pics etc.

What kit do you have? Don't suppose you know the length of your bulbs do you??

I just measured the length of my standard H7 bulbs, and they're 42mm (from metal base to tip), so as long as the Turborevs ones are definately 44mm fingers crossed the extra 2mm won't cause a problem.

We've had one of our recommended fitters measure the H7 bulb to one of the
cars they have fitted it to (Golf mk5), they've measured it as 50mm. I've
spoken to them to find out if they forsee any problems fitting it to the
Seat Cupra as they do quite a lot of HID installations, they cant see the
bulb size being a problem, i have had this confirmed with 2 more fitters,
both said that there wont be a problem and that if the bulb touches the
diffuser there wont be a problem either, the other option for you would be
to take the diffuser out, this will also work fine.

The picture is an error on our part as our suppliers sent us this pic
as we didnt have any h7 kits to measure.

50mm is too long, and deffinately will touch the diffuser for definate. i also got told that i could take them out but thought this might cause problems for glare etc.

i would of also thought that eventually vibration from the diffuser touching the wire would cause problems later on with the wire breaking from rubbing
