Window Tints?????

Evening All

Been thinking about getting my window's tinted and wondered if anyones had it done and if so how much? I want to keep it legal as could do without any extra hassle from the fuzz!!

Nothing to Chavvie, just something subtle to go alongside the Ovni Yellow paintwork

If your windows have got the factory tint, believe it or not thats the legal limit. However. if you don't go mad on the front windows (i.e. you can still sort of be seen from outside), you can go dark on the back windows. Usual deal really, don't take the piss and I don't hink you'll have any bother.

Just for reference, these are mine: 20% back and 40% fronts - Paid £180

Just dont go too dark on the fronts or the police may pull you and make you remove them.

This is true. But it's the same as changing number plates on the car, it's not legal, but as long as you're not taking the piss you will probably get away with it.

iv gone past many coppers with my front tinted window up they don't really mind, but my mate once was stopped by a copper who was specially out looking for front tinted windows to stop em.

I've seen some people with their windscreen lightly tinted! thats pushing it!!
as said above as long as their not too dark and you don't blast the car past them you'll be orite (touchwood)

Ive done both! Small plate on the front and 30% tints all round except windscreen. Got pulled once, copper loved the car! He didnt notice front plate probably because its standard font just on a smaller plate and only said how does the windows effect my sight at night i said not at all just like driving with sunglasses on he laughed that was end of story.

Lovely car above mate!!! Have you had the film put over the windows to tint them? if so has anyone had any probs with this?

Nice. I don't usually go for window tints, but i think you have them done tastefully there.

yes they're films, the only problem with them is that you can get very fine scratches that i guess come from dirt on the rubber trims on the inside of the doors.

Lucky you. when i got pulled the inspector pulled out the tester and said NO NO
Take it off or we keeping the car. Felt wounded ripping the tint. Next day go it redone but witha lower shade (enjoy my privacy)
