turbo 1.2 bar , coilpack problem or sparkplug or turbo???

2 months ago , I had a coilpack problem.. Second time in 6 months..
First time it was the first coilpack.
Last time it was the second coilpack. (i have used vagcom)
1 Month later i was driving on the free-way driving 120 km/h.
Turbo was boosting on that moment. I had 1.2 bar at that moment.
My engine make at that moment sound like a coilpack problem..
Engine (yellow controle light) started to blink..
I went of the pedal and the controle light stopped blinking
I stopped couldn't find anything at that moment..
At home i took the vagcom and it says misfire at the second cylinder.. :confused:
I was just a new one...
so i have reset it..

But now i stil have this problem...
When i boost from 0.9 - 1.3 bar it makes a sound like the coilpack is dead..
But if i boost from -0.4 - 0.8 bar nothing is wrong...
and the error code came one time back

Is this a spark plug or coilpack or the turbo???

sounds like a dead coilpack to me.
You could change the coilpack to another cylinder and if the fault comes back on the other cylinder then you will no it's the coilpack and not the plug

Make sure the coilpack is pushed in tightly all the way. One of mine has been popping out lately, causing low boost and missfires under heavy acceleration. But drives fine on low boost and normal driving.

do my trick pete.
remove your coil packs and cut a V into the rubber ribs on all the ribs down the side of the coilpack... so no air can be trapped beneath the coilpacks.
Its the std ribs which trap air beneath the coilpacks, and when the engine heats up, air expands and pushes the coilpacks out again.
mine used to do this occasionally... never done it since.

Good plan, will try that today, cheers mate :) My next step was going to be bolting them down but if i can get away with releasing the trapped air that would be great :)

lol, is quite odd :) If i could find the motivation to get off my a$$ you'd prob have seen me run out there with a knife and start hacking my coilpacks by now too. ;)
