Vag Com - can it show Boost and oil gauge

I'm installing a Carputer that will be rigged up to vag com

Can Vag Com display boost and oil temp on the screen as a gauge of some sort?

I'm more interested in the oil temp as i'm always curious when the oil temp is nice and hot.

When ever i start the car from cold i never take it over 2,000 rpm until the engine temp is properly heated, I know this is nothing to do with the oil but it acts as a guide,
I usually wait a while longer before taking it over 4,000 rpm.

Does anyone know how long i should wait (ball park figure) before its safe to increase the rev's?

I'm probably being over paranoid! but its better to aire on the side of caution.

problem with your idea is to use vag com you will need the interface cable plugged in at all times. this may be fiddly

however current/previous releases of vagcom do not display as gauges anyway. but there are other applications out there that do.

VAG scope which comes with later versions of vag-com displays engine speed, throttle angle, ing timing and mass air flow if that helps

Im not even sure there is a oil temp sender on the car tbh. the is nothing on the MFA like others VAG cars.

So when people fit boost and oil gauges they add their own sensors?

Yep you have to fit an oil sender, and on the Ibiza it is really tight to get to.
