Leon Stylance 140bhp.
What should the tickover be, mine is nearly 1000rpm, seems very high!
Also at 70mph the revs are 2100, seems higher than I remember when I took out Leons on the test drives!
Just wondering if this is why the engine seems noisier.
Anyone?

Mine is the same at tickover, but is around 2000 at 70 in sixth. I've done 3500 miles so far in mine. Hope this helps.

I drive a reference sport 140bhp. At idle, my revs are about 900rpm. I'll check later what they are at 70mph. I've had the car for 3 1/2 months so I reckon I've done about 3000 - 3500 miles. Will update later.

My Cupra 150 tickover is 900 rpm which is normal, any less and its stalls.
I assume its a diesel thing with the high compresion ratio.

I have the Ref. Sport BTCC and have to admit that the gearing is lots worse than my old 130PD SE.

Idle is a little under 900, with 70mph at around 2200rpm.

So mine seems to be about right then?
Around 900rpm at idle & 2100-2200rpm at 70mph in sixth I have nothing to worry about?

OK, remembered to check revs this morning!

At idle my reference sport 2.0 TDI PD140 sits at about 700 rpm, which I think is a bit low is it not?

At 70mph in 6th gear it sits at approx. 2200rpm.

Is this correct, does the dsg box mean the car revs lower at 70mph?
Checked mine again & it idle it's at 900 & at 70ph in sixth the manual is around 2200rpm. I am sure this must effect economy somehow, should it not?

Does seem low idle speed for a diesel.
Same as mine in 6th gear though, thanks for checking

Im not sure whether the dsg makes a difference but they are certainly the engine speeds mine only reaches 2,400 at around 80. My economy has always been really good around 42mpg in town and on a good run 54mpg. I have spoken to seat tech and they can give me an answer

In reference with the tickover, I have the TDI 170 and the tickover can't make up its mind, sometimes it sits nice at 900 revs but then sometimes will sit around 950 and a low hum comes off exhaust...

I think from what I can remember I get around 2k in 6th at around 70 odd mph
