Hi,

Roly and myself are putting a 1.8 20vt lump into my mk2.

I was thinking about getting some of the engine parts polished.

Anyone had any of theirs done and how much did it cost/where did it? I've been looking around but can't find anywhere! Just thinking about getting the inlet manifold done and maybe afew other bits.

Cheers in advance.

Excellent! Saves me abit of elbow grease! Cheers!!:D
correction - a LOT

and patience

if you do do any yourself believe me its the first few grades that can make all the difference and if you skimp on em it will show at the end - after restoring old simple music boxes for a living and considering a manifold shape i can say its easier and less hassle to let the machine guys do it [B)]

They are quite expensive tho, got my rocker cover, inlet manifold and intercooler pipe done in a day for 60 quid which is about what they wanted to do the inlet if i remember right.

Any chance you have a number/name for the people who did yours? Just so I can give them both a call and compare prices. It was looking at your engine that persuaded me to get mine polised! Yours looks sweet!!!

do it yourself, we do alot of polishing at work, you can buy a little kit for and angle grinder for about £40 and a set for a dremmel for the tricky parts, about £60 in total, and it works perfectly, il try and find you the website.

Cool, cheers. I'm tempted to try it myself and if it turns out rubbish i will get someone to do it for me. If you can find the site that would be cool.

Thanks.
