What are the benefits of going with apr or milltek apart form quality?
Do they perform any better then the blueflame?

I've had a turbo back blueflame system fitted for nearly 5 months and had no problems at all. I've only heard of the hanger weld becoming broken on the LCR systems not on the 180 Cupra's like mine. I've had the car remapped after it was fitted and that has been nearly 2 months and all is well.

Personally for a 'budget' system, I think its great, good sound under acceleration. Stainless steel is stainless steel, to the untrained member of the public they would notice minimal difference in quality between that and the Milltek system, just the overall finish is probably the main one. But for a turbo back Milltek? £1000? Thats alot of notes....

Yeah that looks exactly like the hole that ripped in mine.
I would say that this fault is down to the lack of give in the flexi on the DP and could also be aggrevated by engine mounts which may have to much play in them. Best to get uprated bushes.

well said!

this is THE MAIN reason why i went for the powerflex uprated dog bone bush... as it means there is less engine rock so therefore the DP will not move as much and thus less pressure on the DP!

maybe if i had done this with the original design DP they may have been ok?!

who knows!

 They are a perfectly respectable supplier. Milltek do make a DP/Cat for the LCR. Zboyd and others on here had/have it fitted. Quick search reveals much information.

i think they do do a DP gaz!

but the reason why i did post#69 is because miltec have shown a picture of a ko3 DP instead of the k04 DP WHICH AS WE BOTH KNOW THEY DO MAKE!

thankyou please! ;)

not with a tight 90 angle on it - that's k04

the k03x one is more of a straight down

must be a newish addition though

assuming i have read the above correct... sorry mark, but i must disagree... the picture above is not a ko4 DP... for starters look at where the DP joins the turbo... there are 4 bolt holes... well a k04 has 3 not 4 bolts! (ko3 has 4! ;))

also the bend on the k04 is like this....

DP.jpg

like you said, the k03x DP is far more straighter!

Ive had a few companys say they have DP for the LCR but they always turn out to be the cupra one, only APR and BF seem to offer solutions. In that picture the turbo DP bends the wrong way????? It seems to be bits from both and not fit either?

Good grief, that DP isn't for the K04. It's just a photo that ICJ seem to be using to illustrate a DP/Cat, they're using it for all the Leons.

Milltek make an LCR DP/Cat. Zboyd and Coxw both had it fitted. Even Awesome-GTI list it on their website.

The point of my original post was to illustrate that spending £1k wasn't neccasery to get an alternative to the BF one and also to highlight ICJ as a company to purchase from; but never mind
