clearcoat vanilla moose glaze wax is good for red cars.

i always use poorboys ex-p sealent and has looked good on all colours

Finished off with poorboys Nattys paste wax, or collinite for extra durability.

Its my new car so £££ no problem.I always wax my cars once every 4-6 week's.
Hose pipe down the car first(will never use power washers)Then i use 2 bucket's 1.clean water 2. car wash soap. hose off then dry/polish.I have never used a clay bar. I think i'm lucky i only use the car at the weekend. I ride to work so the car does not get that dirty but i do love to keep it lookin nice.Wife
has her own car.

Well going from what you say, my first two suggestions would be..

1. Don't change what you are doing :)
2. Even though a new-ish car and not daily driver I would suggest a clay bar just to make sure all contaminates are removed.

On the wax front, if £££ no problem, then Zymol Royale is great, oh it is a little over £7k but does get refilled for life for free. Not quite money no prob, then I would suggest (in order of looks)

1. Pinnacle Souveran, wonderful look but limited durability (about 4 weeks between coats) £40 a tub
2. Chemical Guy's 50/50 Wax, durability at least 2 months, known to last 4+, £25 a tub
3. Collinite 467, good looks and long durability (2 coats 6 months +) not sure on price but cheaper than above

I've just brought some Harly Wax and IMO it is really good on my Platinum Grey LC. Only £17 (or there abouts)

Load carrying ability even in the estate is poor. I really like the car but it needs some uprated shocks (already had the Volvo branded Eibach springs fitted) and then a remap to make the most of it.

Waiting to see what's happening with the D5 - when they get round to fitting a manual box I could be very interested.

If i knew how to post pics on this site i would show my s40 .I sold the car
like i said, could not get my mountain bike in due to the car only having a boot.
Solved the problem by fitting a roof rack. But in the Altea i can get the bike in
no probs just lay the seats flat and take the front wheel off the bike.I also had my s40 lowered and added volvo 18" wheels looked great but handling still was not mind blowing. The Altea for me is an all
rounder,fast,handling,toy's'and stops on a penny.
