You guys who are getting 300 miles or more - Must be doing lots of motorway driving and keeping to a sensible / steady speed...?

I get around 300 miles to the tank and an average of 26MPG. I do a mix of rush hour driving and motorway miles and either drive like a granny or like my hair is on fire!

hahaha that is so me!!

i get about 320 a tank from my stock LC! is that bad!!??

p.s thats about 70% motorway!

Depending on the different journeys i do, i usually get between 290-315 miles to a tank.

Did manage 360 miles out a tank once with driving very conservatively but where's the fun in that! :D

Yeah i know i could of done with a 7th gear last night!!:cop:

I do run my car way past the 0 mile mark and i couldn't get a drip more fuel in when i fill up but still only get 210 miles on "normal" driving.

Most of my journeys are short trips so maybe it's this stop start that's making such a difference.

I thought the long run last night would have at least got me upto 25mpg, not 15mpg!!!!

Maybe i was pushing just a little to hard :rocker:

I wish I could even see 25mpg let alone 30mpg. :( I'm sure my car's got a drink problem, but then again using it around town and short journeys probably don't help.

31mpg average for me and on a well behaved tank i can get 365 miles. 241 is bad, if that is a regular figure without hammering everywhere you go i'd have that looked into.

I generally get between 300 & 350 miles to a tank with varied driving on my std LCR. A good A/B road thrash does burn it much quicker but then thats the price you pay for driving it like you stole it! :D

I get about 330-350 miles on a tank full in my LCR. That is mostly A/B roads, 50 miles a day - lots of stop/start.

Not bad really, I expected much worse...!

here's my LC fuel consumption figures:

BP ultimate:

30.3mpg average over 100 hours (3000 miles) --- this was with revo stage 1 and broad mix of driving

best reading: 40mpg on long run

V-Power:

30.1 mpg average over 100 hours (3000 miles) --- again revo stage 1 (switched off for around 1500) miles and mixed driving.

best reading: 37 mpg

typically i get 35mpg when driving conservatively and 25-27mpg when spanking it for a few miles on the way to work.

On my journey to/from work, which is 13 miles each way, best ive ever got is 38mpg, put your foot down and it goes down to 21mpg, which is a massive difference. Time actually saved = about 2 minutes!

Average in reality is prob 30.

regularly getting 35mpg. only use morrisons
have seen 47mpg on readout which was only 40 in reality
mainly get 400 miles to a tank and if driving the week on my own to save money i do set off earlier to work and drive sensibly just folllowing the traffic flow and get 460+ to tank.
most i have done is 466 miles on 55 litres. have tried the theory of 25 miles after reading zero but mine only went down to 5 and the car stopped. wont be doin that again

I can't believe people are getting these sort of miles out of LCR's.
As i posted before i'mabout 21mpg on average and if i drive like a granny (which i can't do for too long!!) i can still only get about 25mpg
