Sorry for the poor pictures, they were the ones the dealer had taken.

Alas, this does mean that I will be saying goodbye to the LCR (px'ed). I have had a fantastic time owning it. It has been a superb car and having it Jabba'ed was a real blast. Should I decide I have made a mistake and can't live without a real boot, the new LC will be top of my shopping list.

But now I am ready for my mid life crisis

Or my misses says "clinging to my youth"; I turned 30 this year

Cheers for all the advice over the last 2 1/2 years, I think I will hang around the forum, but will have to keep an eye on the Lotus ones as well ;)

Yeah, insurance was a bit of a jump. Had the LCR down to £270 this year, but the Lotus is back up to £618..... Still not too bad for a group 20 car. Thank God I don't live in London anymore :)

Still not sure if I will regret having this as my only car....but the other half has the estate for when I need to move anything bigger than a carrier bag....

Can not wait to get my hands on her

I just went the other route - lotus to leon! They're great fun, handle so well! If your thinking of buying an exhaust go the larini route (sound clips on their webpage!).If you need to know anything about them or need some help drop me a pm.

Enjoy matey but take care when your driving in the winter months if it's your everyday car or in the rain ;)

My since departed lotus :(

Looking Lovely!

I did similar and went from LCR to VX Turbo - totally different driving experience, so it's difficult to say which is better, but on an aimless drive with the roof off the Lotus / VX is far better. On the other hand on a 3 hour motorway cruise the LCR is also much better

I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Cheers for the post Folks.

The anticipation is killing me, this weekend is going to be hell.

I think I will put a last little bit of TLC on the LCR before I hand it over to the dealer. Make sure it looks its best....

DamoR, cheers for the offer of advice, I am sure I will take you up on it.

I also notice how all the Lotus owners on here, tell me to be cautious during the winter months. Does that suggest you all had heart in mouth moments when you first got your cars? :)

Nice Car

Umm, very nice, I'm a little worried midlife crisis at 30 , i got one of those at 38 and bought another motorbike, not looked back since then.

Now don't get me wrong, I love my Leon Cupra (needs more power tho) & Tbh I wanted an S2000 but needed something a bit more practical, but cars just can't give you the same buzz as a bike can.

I used to spend too much money on car's at the expense of others thing's, now i've got a great car, and my dosh is spent on track days and fast bikes, re-living my youth you bet-cha.

Enjoy your new baby,

had a few scary moments in the wet! A guy pulled across a junction in front of me in heavy rain and I had to accelerate out of the way and lost the back end but managed to correct it. Although highly annoyed at the time it highlighted the floors of a rear engined car and taught me how to drive one. There are courses you can go on that teach you how to drive them properly and enjoy them more. You can't beat driving home from work in the summer with the roof off ;)

Just be careful and you wont have a problem. Enjoy
