APR made a K04 kit for that ages ago.

Yeah, I know.

I was asking about this kit, not the K04 kit, which is why I asked in this thread not in other thread.

Andy - any info on the potential of this kit for longitudinal engines?

Double the power and same torque figures????????
This in my book means that they just raised the torque at higher revs,,,, damn dsg!

A large-diameter cast-aluminum, black powder-coated intake pipe feeds the big turbo the cool air it needs from the larger, front-mounted intercooler

I cant see any reason why this won't be available some time soon. We have the stage 3 on our 1.8T A4 and its great. I imagine they should use the same turbo as on the MK5 just different arrangements of pipework etc. We will be keeping everyone posted though.

K04 kit looks like £2.5k in GBP terms.

Guess the Stage 3 kit will be nearer £4k!

That's a lot of money.

and back in the day, RSD/Oettinger conversion cost £2000 for ~200bhp (ish) and that was essentially a chip, a seat sport strut brace (£50), tarox G88 disks, EBC green pads, and poxy 2" Miltek exhaust.

How things change.

I dare not think how much ££ is sunk into mine these days. (probably add a 1 to the 4, in front)

K04 kit will be quite a bit more than that buy the time it's been imported and fitted, IMHO.

Current 1.8T Stage 3+ kit is around £4k+, so you're probably right. Are you really surprised though? Looks top notch though.
