I asked Scott, and he said they should be racing again next year, it would be most unlikely that they wouldn't want to defend their Manufacturers title.

They have the SEAT Cupra Championship seemingly commited for 2007 also, so its looking good that SEAT will be involved in the BTCC for a while yet. :)

Congratulations to all the SEAT Sport UK team, drivers, team personel, and management. Its been a fantastic and at times difficult 3 years of competition, but the Griffin's dominance of the British title has finally been won for SEAT. :)

And certainly as fans and customers, we couldn't be happier tonight. :D

Well Done, roll on 2007!!

great day, good end results
Thanks again to mOrk for arranging as usual, sorry we didn't say Hi :(

Well done to Seat for the whole year, and a fantastic job at rebuilding both cars for race 3

bit distressing with the Mike Jordan incident, airlifted to B'ham hospital 1 1/2 hours after it happened??
Reports are head injuries but not too serious :D

Great drive up, nice and sensible with Dan and Fishy,
shame bout the drive home :( just short of 4 hours :wtf:

Now I understand why peeps don't want to come to Brands, tho i won't miss the final round of the year where-ever it is !!!!!

It said on motors tv that he was sat up in bed watching the last race with 'just a few broken ribs' so i guess he's ok.

( i watched it then drove home and watched it on the tele to make sure i didnt miss anything  )

Got to remember Silverstone have there own medical centre, so there is never a major need to rush anyone out when it can all be done at the centre, not to mention the best doctors from around the UK actually there.

I seem to remember at one stage the facilites at the medical centre were better than the local nhs hospital (although some would say thats not hard!) :(

Was the traffic really bad getting off site mate?

yeah, then the M40 was v.busy, then to top it off, the M25 was a complete c:censored:t!!!!!!!!

Got up at 04.30 this morning, and got home at 22.00, Vick's about to go to work til 06.00 tomorrow morning now :wtf:

That's what you call dedication.
total mother-f^cker of a day, but well worth it :D

I meant the incident, not the time span. the medical facilites in these places are absolutely fantastic, as are the response units.

Good call to red flag too, don't see it very often due to impeccable safety standards, but when it happens, you know it's real **** happening :(

Excellent result, thanks Marks for organising everything.

Was a bit ashamed that we sneeked off early, unfortunatly it was something to do with alcohol and too much of it. I might learn one day,

I nipped of near the end of the last race. I got out of Silverstone fine all the way to the M1 at a good speed, then at junction 10, STOPED!!! going knowwhere for nearly 1 hour. All because of ****ing rubbernecking!!!

So now I feal F**KED (was here at work by 6am!) anyways....

What a great day and a brill season!

Well done SEAT

Thanks to Mark and Mark and anyone else at SCN that has helped us plebs see some great racing in 2006! :)

Well done to SEAT for ending the VXR dominance. :D Will we now see new roadcars with "SEAT - BTCC Champions" stickers in the rear window like in the F2 rally days? :)

Amazing job by the team to fix the cars after all the damage in race two. I thought it was an absolute disgrace that race wasn't stopped any sooner. Poor Mike Jordan trapped in his car injured and they're still going on by for at least 5 laps.

Felt sorry for Darren getting punted off in race one, as he's clearly got the speed, but not the luck it seems.

I can't believe that's it all over for another year already. It's flown past thanks to that mid-season break.

Nasty accident that was, people in our grand stand got hit by debris that made it through the catch fence!

Good crowd atmosphere too, the ooohing & ahhing as that clio lost its brakes, the almost standing ovation to breeze in the SCC championship as he fought through the field but to came last and the aplause retiree's recieved in race 3 as they limped back to the pits

Touring cars is popular again.
