Does anyone know what a SEAT dealer charges to supply and fit a cam belt?(cupra r)

Also my car has full service history its done 78,000 miles at the moment but it doesnt say if the cam belt has been changed or not as above post what service should this have been changed? Someone told me that if i contact SEATUK and give them me reg number they should be able to tell me if it has been changed or not:whistle:

The current official data on SEAT petrol models is the belt should be inspected at the 60K service and every 20K after. If required it obviously should be changed and must be changed by 120K.

Additionally if the car is model year 2000 or older the belt should be changed at 5 years regardless of mileage.

However . . . . this is all about to change (see Briskoda forums). SEAT will soon be saying that all cambelts (petrol and diesel) should be changed at 4 years regardless of mileage.

SEAT wont have a record of your servicing and maintenance history, only the dealers that did the work will.

If your car is or has been owned by SEAT finance they will have a record, as will any other lease company that may have owned it. SEAT UK will only have a record of warranty work, which your dealer can access anyway
