Pollen filter under the scuttel pannel, 100% sure dude

do a search LOADS of stuff on here. Have you had the windscreen done? or scuttle pannel off, as normally the rubber seal unser the rain lip is a bugger to get back in properly, and if you dont it pours into the foot well on the passenger side. I had this on friday after the muppet who did my windscreen messed it up, took me 5 mins to fix it.

had nothing done with the screen, but last week, i took it to have air-con re-gassed and a new pollen/cabin filter put in, if only it didnt rain:think:

That will be it :)

they havent put it back properly, very easy to sort out, wipers off, lift scuttle pannel, and push the rubber seal back under the plastic, very self explanitory when you see it.. just make sure you test it with a bucket of water to make sure you have fixed it before you put the wipers back on :)

A bit off topic, sorry, but did you get the damage sorted? Natinal windscreens replaced mine last week and damaged the side trims and left most of the side trim clips broken. They said they would replace it all in a day or two and I haven't heard any thing since!!!

im getting problems too. Passenger door, where the inner trims meet towards the front (by the join)

i see a build up there just that area and the floor mat gets wet. Stealers are having it next week so they better sort it otherwise im gonna be pissed. I have a beer mat shut in the door to try and stop some of the water

Had this on my S3, so the Leon being VAG it will probably be the same, the drain hole by the pollen filter or on the other side of the engine bay, they get blocked with leaves and stuff and the water comes into the footwell.

See pic on the S3, yellow marks the drain holes that the waters goes through down into the wheel arches..

:)

Sorry these are at the base of the windscreen under the trim.

Is there a similar hole on the drivers side? My drivers side floor has got really damp/wet and makes the windows mist up if you even look at them funny :(

Can't see any evidence of the water running into the car down the pedals/bonnet release and the dampness seems to be centralised to where my heels rest when driving....

Had a service not too long ago buit the car has been wet carpet smell for sometime before that so I really hope I can solve this :)`

There's no F in Quality..
have a look in the 'guides' section of the main forum..... very good explanation of the cause of the water leak...

basically there's a fault with the rubber seal between the main door structure, and the ancillary panel that holds the window runners..... leaks and causes water to get inside the car

Yeah just read through all that - thanks for the link though :)

I reckon I'm probably gonna have to let either someone more knowledgable have a stab at this or take it to a local garage as I have no skill or luck when it comes to these things. (Oh and an unsupportive father...)
