James are you sure you dont want to come in at last minute.com;)

Will help at santapod and on the next brunters day as Sie, Me, Carl and Scotty will be waving you bye byes;)

Feel, have you got a linky for that AMD result? Was his figures at wheels or flywheel as remember S3 has 4wd losses so wont look as good when compared with wheel figures of LCR:)

SMIC
Polished inlet mani

The thing is J@mes we need the K04 as high specced as possible for it to be a worthwhile mod. No point in scrimping on a couple of hundred quid to find you have only achieved an increase of a round 10bhp. Jacobs has proven to give at least a 25whp jump and thats probably down to the spec, ie port/polishing and the thermal coating!

I dont believe the hybrid Ko4 from TD offers this:)

James, there will be 5 300+LCR's soon, sure you dont want to be a 6th ;)

Songman
Sie's
Carl's (Wild willy)
Scotty's
Mine

No J@mes though;) Only kidding fella, just teasing as you were 1 of the people who were interested in this right at the beginning ;)

You going to pod on sunday? You reckon you'll go lower than your 13.88? Unfortunately for me still in the middle of moving house so got no free time on my hands:( Will wait for this tubby and the exhaust before i go down again!

But good luck anyway buddy:)

cheers mitch!

id love to have the hybrid ko4 BUT i personally dont think it is worth spending any more money on my car now... i was a bit nieve when this idea first came out and was under the impression that for 1k i could do it all... but its easily double that! :(

im just goin to stick with my LCR until i get bored and then il get something better! :) not even sure what i want next, the best i can think of is m3 CSL but who knows wat il want next year!

hopefully il beat my pb at pod on sunday, some how i think i wont! :(

but fingers crossed! :)

AFAIK it was a flywheel figure, this is all I know at the minute:-

Yes i think it is, Sie's recorded around the same at the wheels lol and that was without intake manifold and proper mapping!

Some rolling roads are non vag friendly. I wish JBS would get their arse in gear with the opening of theirs. Just the tarmaccing in the carpark holding it up now.

What are you all up to then? I notice Scotty is selling his "perfect working order" turbo...

3 of us are in contact with Jacob,

Myself, Wildwilly and Scotty B

Turbos are nearly done and will be sent out within the next few days :D

It wasnt a groupbuy as such, just a feeler to see who was interested then individual details were passed to Jacob. Jacob is in contact with all 3 of us and we are dealing with him individually!

I should hopefully have mine setup by the new year:)

Scotty, have you got a FMIC? Forge?

Scotty i see you are selling a polished inlet mani? I take it, its a standard manifold polished just for show to the outside?

Have you not thought about polishing the insides to make it flow better, send it off to a company to do, surely be cheaper than buying a dahlback? Or is the dahlback larger in size allowing more air to enter?

Also with your kit buddy, you can probably advertise it as a k03-k04 conversion pack on ebay or something with the exclusion of a few little bits.

Turbo/manifold/downpipe
Intercoolers
Injectors

Would come in handy for someone doing a k04 conversion

All they would need is MAF/TIP and a few other bits oil lines etc

Hello mate i had Burton power look at it and they said there was not allot of point polishing the inards on that unit. The dahlback is also equal length in so should get all four cyls working spot on

Bit of a development on my options guys. The plan was to get the turbo and fitted it along side:
JBS equal length manifold
Dahlback racing inlet manifold
440 injectors
jabba or custom code remap.
Now due to unforeseen circumstances the JBS manifold won’t be ready for a minimum of 8 weeks, so what do I do?

Option one:
Leave it all off until the parts all come together

Option two:
Just bolt the new turbo on and be happy tweaking with the sps

Option three:
Get the ATP manifold from the states in replacement of the JBS one and carry on as I was

Option four:
Get the turbo and a remap (custom one) and leave it there

Price v’s gain, what do you think? My initial thoughts were if the flow is equal going in and going out then the engine should run at its optimum. I want to get the maximum out of this but don’t want to spend a fortune. Any other ideas?

are you expecting the flow rate from this setup to warrant the benefit of higher flow potential from an equal length mani?
