What's With The Capital Letters At The Start Of Every Word?

In answer to your question, though, any intake system stands a chance of ingesting water if it's pulling an air feed from low down. Nothing to do with running a Dynatwist, IMO.

Your engine works by pulling air into the cylinders, injecting fuel, compressing the mixture and igniting it, forcing the pistons out again and creating drive.

Unlike air, water doesn't really compress very well so the outcome could well be bent bits in your engine.

Not sure where the standard Ibiza 3 intake is pulling its feed from. If yours is standard then there's plenty of owners out there running Dynatwist (or similar) induction kits without problems. If yours isn't standard, does it really need to pull an air feed from low down?

When i brought the car came with a K N its not very good as it sucks in lots of hot air cause its right in the engine bay i thought the lower u could get a cold air feed the coller the air would be i suppose if every one else runs these filters they must be ok well i hope really dont want my engine wrecked cause of a big puddle guess i would have to avoid puddles as much as possible.

I used to run a RamAir induction kit in my Leon, feeding from the standard inlet in the grille. The benefit of enclosed filters like the Dynatwist and RamAir is that (unlike an open cone filter) they don't pull in hot air from the engine bay.

It probably makes very little difference whether you pull your airfeed from the grille or the floor but taking the feed from higher up means that you won't need to avoid puddles. And there's plenty to avoid in this country at the moment.

Smooth airbox, decent panel filter and a large cold air feed.

Or if you have to have one, get a ramair maxflow from Badger 5. A lot cheaper than a dynatwist and looks/does the same thing.

they are good, they dont suck from low down unless YOU stick the intake pipe there.

as said above just put the air feed where it isnt gonna get wet!

Mines been fine with the air feed into the wing where the standard intake is.. Would like to try it somewhere its gonna get more air but not sure where to relocate it yet !

was thinking about putting the airbox intake where the smic intake used to be, is this not a good idea then? never thought about the water issue before.....

think deep puddles when locating the feed pipe.
on ibiza's the std position is a goo done... the air gets fed into the top of the wing, base of windscreen at speed as its a high pressure point forcing air into that cavity. up and out the way of wet & stuff also.
my advised placement.
