Model Year 23/24 Rear bumper design

Hello everyone. I've just taken delivery of a new Formentor 1.5 Tsi..
I was looking under the rear bumper and I noticed that there was a large gap. Looking up inside the bumper I could see wiring. The metal work at the rear of the car is also visible.
To me it looks like a vulnerable area as all of the water and muck will be sucked into the cavity when driving in the rain.
Has anyone else noticed this and done anything about it.

It's for the tow bar system ,I got a spoiler from maxton designs to fill the gap
