I've been debating trying to get a cheap room nearby the night before but it's looking like pretty much everywhere is booked up now.

I'll be heading there from J2 on the M5 and have to meet someone heading from Telford on route so I'm sure we can sort something out.

I'm not sure about timings yet though.

e-mail sent.. I absolutely agree with Cupracar, we should really make the effort to be gathered together en masse, at least for BTCC race 3 and prize giving. The impact when we took over "Macleans" at Brands and made it ours with flags etc was spectacular and defintiely got us noticed by Seat Sport and the opposition.

How about a convoy for those heading up the A34 from Newbury and the South. We could hook up a little way North of the Chieveley Junction with M4, and then make "stately" progress up to Silverstone. Any takers?

The easiest place to get a lot of us would probably be the large open grandstand on the pit start/finish straight. Right opposite the podium, where they will, barring a biblical calamity, be crowned BTCC Manufacturers Champions 2006. .

Right then, are we saying this is the place, approx 30 mins before the 3rd race starts, everyone who wants to, heads here.

Depends where they are putting us, but if its the same place, then its ideally located as we'll be parked right behind the main Grandstand.

The flags and poles can be bought at the circuit for a £5.

The way this one's going they will be sold out, best trying to get one before hand.

I've got 50 passes for infield parking at Silverstone (not the usual trade mall)

Which is even closer to the action really!

So... over half are taken up already
