APR air flow logs

I've seen plenty of logs of revo'd LCR's pushing 190-200 g/s on stage 1 but I'm running APR stage 1 and I've never got over 190 g/s.
Is this normal due to APR running less boost or is my MAF under reading?
How do other APR'd cars fair compared to Revo etc..when it comes to air flow.
Don't think i've got a problem as the car pulls strong, just curious :think:

Mine is pulling 176.2 mate so dont think there is anything wrong it pulls like a steam train and is pulling 1.55bar of boost, i dont know if the density of the air has anything to do with it at the mo cos if you look at peoples logs in the winter they get nearer 200g/s then

also trying a MAF from someone you know whos is working correctly wont hurt to see what your pulling then thats what i plan to do soon

I'm on stage 2 APR LCR and my best maff reading is 194g/sec recorded last sunday. It would appear low however last week on the awesome gti rr event mine recorded the highest bhp and torque figures for these cars. (Hybrids exempt ;) ). Believe it or not i get slightly more air flow with the stock paper filter than with my green replacement figure:shrug:.

its beginning to make me wonder how accurate these g/s readings are as knowone seems to have a rough ball park figure that we should all be aiming for

Around about 195 (190-200) upwards depending on filter/mapping. 176 g/sec is low for a chipping LCR, from memory a stock LCR does mid 160 g/sec.

Looking at this and your other posts, you want to change your N75/check for splits on the pipe from the charge pipe to the N75/N75 to the actuator.

ah when my hose split, the one that comes from the charge pipe to the N75 valve it split right by the valve that comes out of the charge pipe. So all i did was cut away the hose that had split then reattached to the valve. Do you reckon that hose was meant to be a certain length for a certain reason.

I will have to log my N75 duty cycle to see what that is like what block is it again

Using 1.31 rule

210 = 160-165
225 = 170-175

stg 1 (265) = 200-205

stg 2 (275) = 210 which is max listed capacity of turbo, anymore aint doing you much really.

If your wondering if your mafs on the way out could you not turn back to std and log as thats what the calculation is determined from, not the possibly molested remap code.

That or your logging in 3rd, less speed less throughput through filter no?

After that pipe split on mine it still wasn't right after I'd replaced it - in the end I put a new N75 on and it's been fine since...

@ Phil, Lol. :p
At the end of the day i had stage 2 loaded and got 244 atw & 315ftlbs. I thought that result pinched it. May be wrong though.:shrug:

I would say that all chipped LCR's should be seeing185 Plus.

Can some lcr owners on here do some logs to help us out as seasonal and weather changes clearly have an effect on air density. I always hoped to brake into the 200's.

And I always hoped to get into the 190's.... lol..

My max flow only alters by 3-4 g/s depending on outside temperature

So It would seem higher peak flow doesn't automatically mean more bhp, you need optimum boost, fuel mixture and timing settings aswell!!!

Ah feck, i always log in third, thats why i aint in the 200's then.
Maybe someone can provide 3rd gear runs for direct comparison.
:doh: :doh:
:clap:
I've been thinking about this, surely the maff air flow is independant of gearing as the turbo sucks what it needs and is unaffected by terminal velocity, especially if your intake is in the stock location.

Did a couple of logs the other day when SCN was down:( and using 3rd gear I got 190g/s. Then using 4th gear I got 187g/s both identical runs one after the other:shrug:
