my new rear strut brace

ive just had a rear strut brace made for me just need to get it poweder coated now in red and it will be finished here are some pics of it on the car

what do you think it has fermed up the rear nicely and im very happy with it

i made myn very simular to that i well makes a difference. i used tubular bar tho. great cheap mod!

yeah i would of used tube but i got all the parts free and can get more so i might make some more

spray paints as good as any mate you cnt get it wrong on a bar! hehe

tbh james.. u would even get away with using black enamle paint from the likes of halfrauds (£4) and simply using a paint brush!


i have done this to a metal bar before, USING A BRUSH, and because its enamle paint (slightly thicker than normal paint) it wont dry with brush marks! it should look like its been sprayed!


easiest/cheapest/best option imho!

it will also be stronger, less likely to chip than spray paint!



edit: just rememebered i also sprayed clear lacqure (£4 halfrauds) on it to help it shine! (worked wonders!)

Mk1 golf, 6n polo and scirroco fit apprently.

I have the 6N polo from Raid, but the caps that sit over the are slightly too small, small amount of filing will make it fit.

I have read that the 6N polo one from Volksbits fits. It looks exactly the same as the one i have. I think cuprabaz has one fitted and theres pics of it on his photobucket account.
