Fitting LCR fuel pump

Picked up my LCR fuel pump today and wanting to get it fitted ASAP as i understand it cant damage anything by fitting it before my hybrid and stg3 map go`s on?

My question is apprently to enable the LCR pump to work correctly one of the hoses needs to be blocked off, could anybody explain or even better have a pic of what hose needs to be blocked off? I assume its one under the rear bench but what one?

Dont think any pipe needs blocking off mate. Thats with an S3, TT pump as they have the 4x4 and the tank is split.

LCR pump will drop straight in, all you need to do is take the level sender off your mk3 pump and fit to the LCR one

Sorry to steal your thread Benny but while this thread has got people's attention - I've got an S3 pump so can someone clarify exactly what needs blocking off/modifying for this to work in our cars?

benny i didnt read you had a lcr one. thats a direct fit

s3 one you just gotta block second pick up pipe off

It's a Pierburg one who I was led to believe are the OE providers of these pumps?

I bought it from Jonesya who said he got it from Alex when he was at TTS, with the intention of fitting it for his Hybrid conversion at the time

So aside from blocking the second pick up pipe off, is that it (i.e. housing is still a straight fit)?

I can't be 100% but when I PM'ed Jonesya he said he asked Alex for an S3/TT fuel pump

Is there any way of telling if I put more pics up?

well its got no second pick up and no second sensor wire so its not from a quattro

Hmmm, in which case I think I'd best call TTS with the Pierburg part # and see if they can advise what car it came from. So in your eyes that looks identical to an LCR pump? Thanks Hooch

Try just typing the part number into Google and see what comes up. Might save you the phone call.

Good shout. So the Pierburg part # is 7.00468.84.0 which according to http://www.ms-motor-service.com/ximages/pg_pi_0042_en_web.pdf is VAG part # 1J0 919 087J and comes from the following models:

So, I now know it's a 2WD pump but is it an uprated version of the Cupra one?

http://www.ksms.cz/administrace/mod_obsah/data/6/download/pgnews07_03.pdf looks like more of an offical Pierburg listing and says this variant applies to the LCR (although lists it as 16V?!)

Is the vag part number they give the same as the one for the LCR pump from seat?

I'm not sure what car 1J0 denotes - may ring VW and quote the part # to see if it tallies up with anything specific as well as run it by TTS Roadsport

Confusing as it looks like it might be but is also listed for LCR.
