When after 1 minute you find out that your hours of research were a complete failure.
I have a Pioneer mp3/cd under my steering wheel.

i've searched almost eveywhere and the only thing i got on it was the old xcarlink

- and you know you have got a mk3 when you switch the engine on and it switches off (wasn't happy)
-when the brakes are louder than your exhaust

You know you have a mk3 (cupra) when:

Some cheeky Fiesta tries overtaking you until you leave him sitting on the wrong side with the sound of you dumpvalve still ringing in his ears.

when the whole car rattles like hell even without music, all you have to do is turn the engine on and everything rattles! put some pressure on whatever part of the interior has decided to rattle today may it be the dash or the roof lining and it stops!

sounds like a french car :p

Just bought my youngest daughter an 02 plate 1.4 with 54,000 miles on and 2 owners... so where is the fabled VAG reliability?

My daily drive is a re-mapped 1.9 MJet Fiat and its totally trouble free after 36,000 miles.

SCN is so much like The Fiat Forum I feel I am at home lol!

I am confused now

Well I'd have to say that my 1.4 Ibiza has been extremly reliable over the past 2 years that I've owned it. The only problems that It had was that it needed a new clutch. Other than that and the minor niggles you get with anycar, it's been perfect.

My mate has one and its not so good. But it was cheap and you can tell by looking at it, its had a hard life. I guess you get what you pay for.

Thank god a drop of sanity... I was thinking my decision to get my daughter a beeza was a bad one

Lol, kinda in the same boat. Believe me, you haven't made a bad choice of car. now that mines all sorted out, love every straight, corner, every red light, just so I can listen to my strangely loud exhaust, beautiful car from every angle, and it doesn't take too much to make it look even better :)

-When all of your part numbers are for a VW Polo, Golf or a Skoda Fabia and all of these dealers haven't heard of your engine code (or car) before!

I had a forge splitr on mine and it was loud! you dont have to have a dump valve that only vents to atmosphere for it to be loud!!
