You Know You have a mk2 Ibiza When........

..........when you dont use it for a few days, go for a drive and it dies on you... then hunts/surges for fuel and you just about manage (eventually ) to crawl it home... guess what I'll be doing this arvo/tomorrow?!?!

thats why i'm having 2nd thoughts about exporting mine to France & having to leave it for a few months without running, can't trust over here & don't think it'll be too easy to get parts over there

lol.. hows this then fella.. "you know you have a Mk2 when..." the problem you had yesterday, wouldnt happen today when you went to get it to.. ended up spraying the bay with a sort of WD, to try to de-moisture anywhere that may have been affected..

mine does that occasionally and i had a 1ltr that used to die too it is because of water in the ignition system disconnect the ht leads and wd40 all the sockets and basically any control wire connected to the ignition system. That usually works for me unfortunately it will need going again after a few wet months i hope that helps u bud

I know what you mean about the golf MK3 lads, although one did surprise me, it had golf SE on the back and steel rims............... only turned out to be a bloody stealth VR6!!!!!

I have a three month old ibiza sat on my drive, but given the choice, the mk2 gets the nod EVERY time

Yup i have the choice of a MK3 daily and a MK4 regularly but i must say they don't do it for me like the MK2

you know you have a mk2 ibiza when you try to sell it 4 times and keep taking the ads down cos you just can't bare to part with it despite not being able to drive it very much! one bloke even made me a very reasonable cash offer, and yet all i had buzzing round my head when he was poking around it and kicking the tyres was "get ya filthy pikey hands off my car!...yer norravinit!" weird eh!!

i do laugh when poeple say"oh i'd love a fast car, but I can't afford afford one" when they have £5k 1.0L fiesta sat on the driveway! I only get to drive my ibiza now and then for a cheeky night time blast (SSHHHhhhhh!!) and it never fails to put a huge cheesy grin on my face! it's more the way I can quite literaly pile into almost any corner at whatever speed takes my fancy and just sort of goes round! awsome!

you try to shut the boot and it bounces back up
you go over a pebble and your trying to keep the back end in
your light that comes on when you open the door(or is supposed to) has a life of its own
you go to vw instead of seat for EVERYTHING!

Think theyre new ones tbh, my old GTi was legendary for the boot trick! turned out it was a parcel shelf mount that had broke causing it to get in the way

Also do the light thing, normally when someones just about to pass and they get blinded!
