Just drained out / cleaned out my cooling system, and I have no heat either :(

Did you refill with the heater turned onto full hot? Leave the engine running now with the coolant header cap off and the heaters on full. When it drops add more water. Then put the lid on and go for a drive and let it cool, then top up again if needed.

I reckon I must have one of the worlds most reliable MK2's, with the exception of having to put a bolt through the pedal box its never needed anything other than service parts.

EDIT - and that bloody light bulb at the top of this page!!

You know you must have some weird car like a mk2 Ibiza when you finally get to install foglights on your car, and you find the brackets are there, but the wiring and the connectors are nowhere to be found, and even though you have 4 service boxes of car lightbulbs, none of the lights fit in the lampholders...
*sigh*...

@Above: Mine's pretty reliable too to be honest, with 131.730miles on the clock and still running perfectly fine!
Of course, there's only 2 normal light bulbs in the entire interior that actually work(normal interior lighting and the speedometer light), but still! Only thing I had to replace to keep it on the road was the ignition barrel so far! :D

I've tried all of that Mike... Any other suggestions? I did my mates Corsa with him, and he seemed to have a bleeding valve at the bottom of the radiator.... My coolant level had dropped today when I checked, mind - but they're still not amazing. It'll adjust itself in time I'm assuming?

To keep on topic:
You know you got a mk2 Ibiza when you're already embarrassed as you're getting in the car during rain... Because you know you're going to have to restart the engine just to shut the bloody wiper off after wiping the rear window

[/QUOTE]

Iv worked out how to turn the rear window wiper off. U push the stork back to turn it on, just do it again to turn it off, or at lest it works with mine lol :D. Also mine has a rear water squirter and the cable is split ware it goes through the boot so every time i press the rear wiper a squirt of ware goes in the boot .
