wouldnt park in a disabled place, but i would park in a parent child space no problem, and also, its not against the rules in any way to park in a disabled place, just bad manners

I don't know about that - My friend got a parking ticket once for parking in a disabled bay on a service rd. It didn't even look like a disabled bay as it was the same width as all the other spaces, it only had a very faded paint "Disabled" sign on the ground.

you can get a penalty in some areas, thats down to the local councils but its not like a violation of any rules/laws

Disabled parking space law

A bill making it illegal to park in disabled spaces is being brought to Holyrood later.

At present there's nothing to stop drivers using the bays as most are courtesy only.

Under the new law, written up by MSP Jackie Baillie, people who take the chance could be penalised.
