Hey guys, been looking around for a cheapy set of alloys to replace my old steel rims.

I have a 1.4 ibiza currently with 185/60/14 wheels on it and i came across a set on ebay tonite from a mk4 golf with 195/65/15 wheels.

Can any1 confirm whether these rims would fit ok and your general thoughts on them?

(I think they should be ok looking at http://www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html for the spec

And what tyres would i have to fit to them to keep the diameter of my wheels roughly the same ?

Cheers!

Yes they will fit (in terms of PCD that is 5x100) BUT the tyre size is too big and it will change your rolling radius of your wheel and therefore speedo (by about 10%). I have some 17" alloys in the for sale section if your interested (no tyres)!

So what tyres would i fit - 185/55/15 , 185/50/15 or 185/45/15?

Also will new tyres of 185 width fit on ok considering that the rims previously had 195's on?

I want to fit some A3 195/65/15 wheels on my Ibiza 58 Ecomotive.
Do you know if the tyres will rub on the edges when I'll fully turn the driving wheel ?
I don't mind the Odometer goes 10% up, I just want to be sure the wheels will never touch the body.
Can you help, please ?
thank you

I think the tyres may be too big plus the wheels could be either 5x100 or 5x112 :)
What year audi are the wheels from?

new wheels on

Hello,
Today replaced the old/original wheels with the Audi A3 19565R15.
Yes they are bigger, but... they do not rub on the plastic covers, even if full lock I have 1 finger clearance (1cm).
Car is a bit higher so better for pot holes and bumps :)
However I would like your suggestions about the following points:
1) the centre bore is the same diameter but it does not stick out as the old/original rims, all the way through the old ones, but only about 1cm or less on the new ones (see pictures) But the ET is the same as Ibiza.
Does this mean the new wheels are not well secured ?
2) the acceleration has gone, does it mean they are too heavy for the car ?
But many ibizas have 17" on them and no problem.
Will braking also be affected ?
3) will the bearings suffer and die prematurely ?
4) less fuel efficiency with big wheels ? Same time the acceleration peaks are gone, so no extra fuel injected for that ?

Thank you

5) By Law: Can I have different tyres brand/model on same axle ? They are same size and Loading/speed characteristics, just different make/model and pattern.
