Hi!
Thought I'd share this with you if you're interested, and also to get a few opinions
I got an Ipod Nano and figured if I connect/solder another (accessory) Aux-In socket on the back of the original, under the console, then plug in a 3.5 to 3.5 Aux cable to it, run it under the console, up the back of the dash and out through a discreet hole in the dummy plastic finisher that would be the 'seat heater switch', then plug into Ipod (mounted in bracket) just above, and away to go I don't have any cables draped all over the place.
I've thought of the 'Dension Ice Link' set up, I know the quality of sound would be better with the Dension, and it would also charge the iPod, but it seems a s**t load of money (when you've also bought the dock, or holder for £20 extra) for very little gain.
At the end of the day, I couldn't read the tracks on the head unit, and would have to look at the iPod anyway!
I'm also not sure whether the stock head unit has RCA-In sockets on the rear, if it has, I could use RCA to 3.5 Jack cable (wired up in the same way - through the dash), do you reckon this would be any better in terms of sound quality
Ant opinions would be welcome!!
Cheers,
Ian
