I know you've been after a set of big brakes for a while, so I'm chuffed for ya!

Should look very sweet them! :D

I'm after brakes next, let me know if you know of any going, can't find any Brembo's anywhere!

I may be completely wrong here but the brakes are bolted to the carriers yes? Bigger brakes mean different carriers? Therefore if you’re changing the carrier to suit the disk size, getting one for a certain offset shouldn’t be a problem? Im going on Ford experience here, i.e. putting Scorpio estate brakes onto a fiesta as a cheap up grade

LOL scott, im going from Ford Experience too, i think with ford it was very simple though, i fitted Escort cossie brakes on my fiesta, with only 5mm spacers on the calipers.

Custom carriers are all thats called for then? But i would have thought youd need these anyway?

radial mount on LCR and Ibiza-R..... and Ibiza-R are same caliper as GT Junior... but LCR is'nt.

Brackets are what will adapt obviously, but these are not neccessarily cheap for a pair off from a machine shop. once you have drawn them up and sussed what dims they need to be.

LCR brackets are >£114 +vat each which is expensive when piecing bits together from so called "cheap" calipers on Ebay.

The amount of people I get asking me about this stuff and their "bargains" which turn out to be more expensive by having to get one off bits made etc

Buying lug mount ones too is not advised.. which some people do and then wonder how they can make a ford brembo fit an ibiza or leon.

Buy the right caliper, get the available cheap braket and save yourself some money.

;)

Ah you see, the bonus of being trained as a machinist and using 3D modelling 24/7 means knocking them up wont cost bugger all!

Did all the mounts for my mates mk5 RST to convert the brakes and engine etc. Was quoted £800 for them all but done them myself for £50 of parts!
