I've been looking in to high flow manifolds for a K03S, i've seen one by JBS and vaguely another one by IHI

Will a high flow manifold make a noticeable difference on my Stage 2 set-up, even still is it a worthwhile investment mod for a future K03S Hybrid

Still wanting a price on Badger 5's new K03S Plus hybrid turbo set-up that his developing / testing

Yes defenatley. The biggest restriction on a 1.8t is the manifold imo. Wen danny lad had his running properly with the high flow mani on it was a big difference. Will make more of a difference with the hybrid aswell

I'm pretty certain Bill recommends porting of the OEM unit, following some pictures and a convo with Bill iv done this will be fitting it this week with my 3" DP & sports cat.

Not make a massive difference mo you can only put so much air through the turbo and having a full stage two dout youll see much gains from it IMO as said get it ported ;)

Porting on the oe k04 manifold for a hybrid make no noticalble difference, not sure about stock turbo though. He has a thread about this in his section iirc.

If your going to be going through the hassle of removing the manifold I would just get a high flow one, it will help top end egt's but at the end of the day a k03 can only flow so much regardless, even if u manifold is super large, it may slow Down initial spool cause the exhaust gases are traveling at slower velocity, wether this is noticeable or not is a different story.

manifolds

you will notice a difference by adding the intake and exhaust manifolds if you are allowing the for more petrol to mix with the charged air if you do not upgrade and allow the petrol to use the extra air you are defeating the purpose also allow the down pipe to remove it faster by a 3 inch down pipe. I believe you do not need to run a 3 inch all the way back as a 2.5 inch cat will actually help more......

I believe you can just bolt on a K04 where your K03 sits or even go bigger with what they call a Stealth turbo just goes where the OEM one does....

ATP turbos .com

Like I have said I am learning about MK1 Leon but I am getting clearer pictures of this car.....

For sure fueling is obvious(I hope, lol) along with DP etc... ATP dont do bolt on replacements for the k04-023 without changing manifold, DP etc, they do for the k03 guys though :(

As far I'm aware you need a manifold to match the turbo if replacing it if you just bolt on a big turbo to the oem manifold you have a very restricted flow not to mention the fuel and air upgrades needed and mapping a bigger turbo is not a bolt on mod ;)

Proble whith supplying your own turbo is you still need it mapped and fitted and you won't find a place that will do warranty on the fitting etc as you supplied so it complicates things if it goes tits up :(
