Prob on a Megane site.
As I say It is a factory fit choice on a new Hot Hatch I read recebtly as it under performed on its original OE.
So a brilliant tyre still then.
Cheers Andy
The order from worst to best with regards to performance (in the Michelin tyres) is as follows:

PS2
PS4
PSS
PS4S (it's the true replacement for the PSS)
Cup 2

Urgh Conti 5P were awful compared to the Super Sport on my 280 and the PS4S I have now.

5P o_O - Have just been driving them for 500 - 600 km before the winter wheels arrived so I haven’t used them "inspired" yet. In any case they will be replaced soon. PSS and PS4S was very good on Golf R but as I have written in another tread much shoulder wear on the PS4S. On the other hand Cupra R have much more negative camber (compared to Golf R) which helps against shoulders, I want more even weare. Then perhaps I can have PS4S again....:D.

I have considered to order a set of Cup 2 but high price.

Okay the Swede!

I will be putting my CUP2's online soon for £150 each taken off before it got used, collection or arrange collection only. Black circles do them for £200 at the moment.
I still have the mould lines on the tread. It had 11 miles on the clock from Factory OE fit.

Cheers Andy

Sorry I know it's totally off topic bud how did you ex megane rs owners find them for reliability ect? Only asking as my brother is thinking about getting one (he would like a cupra but can't quite afford one). Never had a French car myself as always heard story's about poor build quality and electrical faults.

Had 7 years of them a 250 cup with a load of goodies. Bought new.
Then a 265 S/S Facelift Oyster grey met, with cup chassis, black roof. DAB, folding mirrors, climate, keyless, [16k on the clock for sale]

Never had ANY issues.
[AHH except the wheels, 18's got corroded by salt on the inner rim on my latest. I had 4 years warranty all replaced free [2K's worth 300 miles ago]

PS It is going up for sale soon.

Thanks for the reply. Thought I'd ask as not clued up on them at all. Just heard the good reviews on how they drive and handle. PM me details on the car with price, year and what area ect (I'm around Cheshire area). If buying private he will need time to sell his fiesta st 180

Are they that bad in cold and rain? I have considered to order a set of Cup 2 but high price combined with very short life time if used on track (my freinds say) + what you say makes me hesitate.

Have Conti 5P from delivery.

They aren't bad tyres...they are great in the dry. Not had them long enough for warm weather yet.

In the wet, they are a bit butt clenching. Roundabouts must be taken carefully otherwise they understeer. Had a few near misses.

But in the dry, they stick to the road.

I still want the PS4S's though. Much better than the Conti 5Ps I had originally on my 290.

I’m thinking of buying an R in Grey (not a fan of black cars). There is only one for sale at a dealer in Letchworth and it’s quite miley. Any others been spotted at main dealers?

Thanks!

If it’s still less than 10k and the tyre tread is good, go for it anyway. The cup 2 tyres they come with as standard only have about 5mm tread as standard, doubt the main dealer will know that, so check the tread. If it’s like 4mm good excuse to say you’ll have it with fresh rubber as 4mm is low and get some decent road tyres on instead (PS4S). Even if it’s just the fronts.

And the spec is Correct too no b*****it like mine had, on illuminated sills, self parking, seat back pockets, lumbar adjustments, spare wheel, front fog lamps.

VERY clean compared with the shed on 349 miles my local; dealer tried to sell me. Minging with scratched trim and paintwork and exhausts solid with black soot and rusty discs and hubs.
