im not slating him i was just pointing out with all that power hes not even getting better times than me, it will be down to get lack of grip! he needs to put slicks on it or somthing but buntingthorpe is a poor surface to do a 1/4 mile in anyway santa pod is miles better. they say what ever time you get at buntingthorpe take half a sec off and thats what you will get at pod!

Terminal speed is the speed you are at when you cross the 1/4 mile mark...

for example only..... say a 200bhp cupra 1/4 mile comes up in about 14 seconds give or take with a terminal speed of between 90-100

If his car is that powerfull although the total 1/4 mile is around the same the terminal would be higher due to being able to accelerate much quicker when he can get the power down...

i think thats about right...someone correct me if im wrong...

i dont always think a standing quartermile means anything to some people.
come across this at 40+mph and its going to eat you. my mate had a 400bhp focus rs he laughed at me when i asked him if he was taking it up santa pod. this car is street and is obviously used on the road, i personally wouldnt care what quartermile it does it proves its power on the road wether that be wrong or right

well 90% of "races" of anything is done while moving coming off of roundabouts etc...

but just for a laugh i put the details into a 1/4 time calculator on the internet...

used 520bhp and 1200kgs for the weight of the car came out at 11.87 1/4 mile with a terminal of 126.57 mph...

Finally someone that agrees with me - So many people on this thread look like idiots with their comments - come on 'kids' not everything has to be shiny!

Rick - have a read ffs - i agree i couldnt give two brass monkey's how shiny it is - i actually like the rougher rat style - looks great and if it goes well too all the better as far as i'm concerned, i hate the bling as i haven't got the patience for it myself :)

i was more worried with the fact there is wires and cables running all over the shop on bare chopped up metal that i can see in the pics and if you think that's just me being blingy then sorry no i'm just pointing it out before something melts and catches fire on it

there's doing it streetstyle and doing it safe and sadly seen too many good things from lack of a bit more care and thought
