you need to turn light knob to AUTO then push wiper stalk down once (as if doing a single wiper swipe) then push stalk up once(as if on intermitant).Your right about the weather, I drove approx 5 miles on the motorway and it was filthy.
Done about 110 miles so far and now it's really dirty inside and out. Hopefully the mud flaps should help a bit.
It feels a lot faster than I remembered from the test drive, although been I've hardly been pushing it. I've been taking it quite steady.
Reversing in the dark is quite a problem. I'm pretty good at reversing, but visability is very poor and the frequently mentioned reversing light being poor.
Not much storage spece in the cabin, glove box being small etc.
Engines too quiet!
The Bi-Xenon headlights don't seem to be much better than my 1.0 12v Corsa ones, They are the same as the ones on BMW and Audi arn't they?
Apart from that, I couldn't be happier!
Cruise control is very good if your trundling along in a 30mph zone with speed camera's, you can set it to 30 and not worry about the camera's.
I havn't figured out the auto wipers yet.
Nor have I had a chance to try the Bluetooth.
Very pleased.
Ordered the new Cupra a couple of weeks ago - started off being sensible(ish) and testing a TDI FR, then thought I should try the petrol FR (just for comparison!) and then the salesman mentioned that they had just got a brand new unregistered Cupra in if I wanted a quick go in it.... blown my budget completely away but hopefully I won't be worrying about that when I get it in March!!
Welcome!
You'll love it!
What colour are you going to get?
Enjoy it when it arrives!!!!
I picked mine up today at the dealer
Emocion Red
Great news guys.
I don't know if you guys know but ages ago my old dad bought second hand a Shogun SWB. Nobody was every happy with it other than him. Being a small 2dr 4x4 it was very hard to get in an out of, and nearly every time it failed atleast one thing on it's MOT. It only looked like new because of all the cosmetic things he did. Plus when it was bought it was either broken into or involved in a prang because their was glass from what must have been the old rear window in what must be the ashtray.
But finally it was advised to get rid, as far as I know because it is getting to cost too much to repair everything.
And of all the manufacturers out there the two that he has his eye on is Nissan and SEAT. The SEAT models of choice is the Freetrack 4 and the new Leon. I saw the options he wrote down and it looks like, from a quick glance, one option is a 1.9 litre TDi for what I think is a little over £12.5k.
Is it worth him getting one and ordering it? The one we are going to is the one in Southwick in Sunderland. The one in Scotswood Road in Newcastle is a tad too far.
Ordered today - Cupra in Inferi Black. Should collect it beginning of April.
Three cheers to the guys at SEAT Bristol, Andy and Tony, for all their help.
