Bored so starting this little 'game' to find out which SEAT model / engine can get the furthest on one tank, include photos of your odometer if you like too!
Follow same format as below:

SEAT Model: 2004 Leon mk1
Engine: 1.9tdi (110)
Miles: 520miles

In theory though I could get 600! As I've had 300 miles plenty of times when reaching half way!

There's an old thread somewhere about "most miles to a Mk4 Ibiza tankful" and IIRC I almost got 700 miles, then someone else beat me (think they did beat 700).

Not bad for a remapped PD130 eh ?

Actually, briefly re-reading the thread I don't think anyone did quite break 700. My record was 671, I think someone got a bit more.

I suspect the Ecomotive models with the lower output diesels could easily beat that.

Gonna depend on what size your tank is!

how many litres does a Ibiza hold?

Less than a Leon :)

Can't remember now, but I think with venting you could squeeze somewhere around low-50's litres in it. You could cover over 200 miles before the fuel needle moved off full.

575 miles out of one tank on a run to colchester from oldham and back again!
Average speed was 75mph
45L tank

Leon cupra 150 tdi
Average 410ish - it was down to 330-340 when the injector seals were leaking!

Found that late 400's is the usual with the Seat. Very rarely does it do long runs and tbh I've never checked it after a long run and I'm not really that interested in it either.

I think I remember that thread and someone called AndVTR reckoned he could clear 700 miles in a Beeza. He got most upset people didn't believe him.

I dont do much motorway miles however I have easily hit 600 miles when i was travelling back and forth on a big IT project. I still think I can hit 500-600 motorway miles even now with all the performance mods.

I recently only just scraped 400 and thats most town with very little motorway driving.

with a fully vented tank in a beezer i recon you could do 700, but i honestly think i would die of boredom.

On a vented tank i get about 450 but i have'nt got over the torque yet so still at the stage of pressing the acclerator just to get the torque buzz

I must have a slightly lead foot then in my 55 litre toledo PD130:rolleyes: ...though it is remapped.

Light comes on between 450 and 500 miles and that's when I usually fill up - so estimate a full tank would get me between 540 and 575 miles.

Managed to get 630 miles out of my Leon Cupra TDI :) Mainly longish runs up and down A19. When I filled up after that I worked out that I had just less than 5 litres left in the tank. Was a bit of a one-off as I did it without flooring it once. Usual averaging around 560.
After I started using the Millers stuff it seemed to give some extra miles

I've just got 550 miles out of my Leon Cupra which was a good mix of town and motorway driving.

If I let the tank go near enough empty before filling I could get 600 fairly easily I think.
